At CES 2018 this week, Intel took the wraps off its newest version of NUC, a "Next Unit of Computing" mini PC kit that systems builders can use for digital signage, media centers and kiosks.

The chip maker's new NUC, which Intel has claimed to be most lucrative for its channel partners and systems builders, comes on the heels of its launch of its newest eighth-gen Core Enthusiast processor with AMD graphics. Like this processor, the NUC, code-named Hades Canyon, also features AMD Radeon RX Vega M graphics. Intel also said its newest NUC is the smallest virtual reality-capable system ever made.
